1) From some PC or client, ssh to your server as that ldap user: some_pc$ ssh ldap_user.domain@server
Then, run that command, and tell us its output: ldap_user@server$ getent passwd $(/usr/bin/id -u) 2) Login to the fat client using the "xterm" session from the preferences menu. Hopefully that will work even without $HOME being available. What's the output of the same command there? ldap_user@client$ /usr/bin/getent passwd $(/usr/bin/id -u) Στις 13/04/2014 02:31 μμ, ο/η andrea biancalana έγραψε: > It seems LDAP users (long username containing "dot" character) cannot log in > fat client ldm because ldm cannot mount remote home directory by sshfs; > may be something is wrong into /usr/share/ldm/rc.d/X01-localapps script? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Put Bad Developers to Shame Dominate Development with Jenkins Continuous Integration Continuously Automate Build, Test & Deployment Start a new project now.
