Hello All

Hoping to a use new install with a daily snapshot netinst (i386) from
last week to run ltsp-pnp with nbd and not nfs on a simple (not virtual)
server.

Linux debian 3.14-2-486 #1 Debian 3.14.13-2 (2014-07-24) i686 GNU/Linux

Installed dnsmasq with ltsp-server-standalone

server information:
Distributor ID: Debian
Description: Debian GNU/Linux testing (jessie)
Release: testing
Codename: jessie

server packages:

ii ldm 2:2.2.13-1
ii ldm-server 2:2.2.13-1
ii ldm-themes 12.07.1
ii ltsp-client 5.5.1-1
ii ltsp-client-core 5.5.1-1
ii ltsp-docs 1.1-1
ii ltsp-server 5.5.1-1
ii ltsp-server-standalone 5.5.1-1
un ltsp-utils <none>
ii ltspfs 1.3-1
ii ltspfsd 1.3-1
ii ltspfsd-core 1.3-1

Then invoked

      ltsp-config dnsmasq
ltsp-config nbd-server (complained of no directory
/opt/ltsp/images/)

Then edited/etc/ltsp/update-kernels.conf

so BOOT_METODS=NBD and
    IPAPPEND=3 was not commented out

rebooted

and checked ls /var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/

to see it was empty (this is just newly installed)

Then invoked

      ltsp-update-image --cleanup /

which created /opt/ltsp/images/i386.img

but complained

mount: Could not find any loop device. Maybe this kernel does not know
about the loop device? (If so, recompile or `modprobe loop'.)
Could not mount /tmp/tmp.ctMjciOuNk.

and still left ls /var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/

empty.

Then invoked

      ltsp-config nbd-server
      service nbd-server restart
      ltsp-config lts.conf

and still ls /var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/

is empty.

What step or steps are missing?

Richard
