Well I always thought there is some control when/before rockspecs are uploaded.
It seems that this is not the case.
We can use this mailing list to report/fix the rockspecs that are faulty,
authors can be notified through here or with a private email and fix them.
I believe that this should generally apply for newer rocks:
(rockspec)
[ author ] --------------> [repository maintainer[s]] --------> [repository]
