The more you learn about Apple, the more you'll know not to buy one.  They are for people who know nothing about PC's and are therefore willing to waste their money on what they believe to be a better machine.  The sad fact is Apple is far worse than M$, but they just don't have much market share so they will never be considered a monopoly.

Here's another fact about the new iMacs:   You have to take them into an authorized repair center just to add more memory as apparently the cases are glued together in some way, and therefore it takes "an expert" to even open the case and then glue it back together.

If Apple ever gets it's act together they will offer their OS-X for standard PC clones.

May I also add that this kind of decisions by Apple just changed my mind
about buying a Mac in the near future. With OS X I thought it would be
worth it to buy one, but I will not monetarily support a company that
panders to this kind of content industry abuse.

Apple. You lost a customer.

Can you say outrage?

Further bad news in Slashdot comments:

"Apple designs its CD drives to support media that conforms to such
standards. Apple computers are not designed to support copyright protected
media that do not conform to such standards. Therefore, any attempt to use
non standard discs with Apple CD drives will be considered a
misapplication
of the product. Under the terms of Apple's One-Year Limited Warranty,
AppleCare Protection Plan, or other AppleCare agreement any misapplication
of the product is excluded from Apple's repair coverage. "

So not only is the computer broken because you didn't see the fine print
and
tried to play a cd in it, but you have to pay for the repairs.
