[luau] do 2gb ram need swap space?

I am building a dual athlon, scsi raid-based server with 2gb ram.  Does anyone know if Redhat (7.3) still wants twice my ram in swap space?  This seems like a waste for 2gb in ram.  Is it, or will the kernel efficiently utilize 4gb of disk swap space?   scott
