 The reset butten was the first thing I tried. Held it down till it got 
a slight dent. No reaction :(
Looks like in.telnetd ;) is off my system. But I'll try to take the 
telnet route. Its just that I have an aversion to calling up tech 
support..... but such is life.

Thank you for the advise. Helped clear up a few things.
