I learned today that the high price was from the 30 client access licenses for Windows 2000 Server that were included in the purchase. I fixed the lab that the server was intended for today (using Linux), and advised them to return that Dell server. Oracle itself is free for educational institutions, IIRC. I will be getting the free version and installing it onto Red Hat Linux 7.3. I may need help with this as I have not installed Oracle before.
