Please boot into "single" mode and send the following information: cat /etc/modules.conf lspci -v lscpi -vvn
This should help me search for clues.Your motherboard sounds like it has newer chipsets on it so perhaps Red Hat 8.0 didn't support it yet? Have you tried Red Hat 8.0.94 beta (phoebe3) or Mandrake 9.1 rc1 on that motherboard?
