Actually, the new owner threatened to sell all the equipment. The new owner is basically a prick, it was a hostile takeover where he screwed the original president over. I'm saying this because I would never do anything of this sort normally. I took business classes and know proper business ethics especially when leaving a company. Unfortunately, the new state of this company did not merit any. Believe me, if you put all your heart and soul and built this company from the ground up just to have some thick-headed fool tell you to "move your servers out into the hallway so I can make this into another office" you'd walk out on him too.
