Thanks Angela.

I was already looking at VideoLan. My biggest issue is:

1. how do I get a server on the Mbone?

You get an mbone connection. Lava is likely your best local choice.

I think I just need to co-locate the server at Lava or Flex, get an Mbone
IP, and I am fine.

There are no "mbone IPs". Not static ones, anyway. You just need an IP connection.

2. do I need the server on Mbone?

depends what you want to do.

3. can users get to the server if it is on Mbone?

If they're also on "the mbone". :-)

I have been trying to find anything to connect to on Mbone and can't find
anything. Is no one using Mbone? Does RR not connect to Mbone? Will
broadband users even be able to access my multicast stream if I get it
setup?

possible, but unlikely.

Does RoadRunner or other broadband providers pass multicast traffic
from mbone to users?
If anyone has any knowledge about multicast, mbone, or streaming video
that would be very helpful to me.

LavaNet already has, to the best of my possibly obsolete knowledge,
both IPv6 and MultiCast to the MBone...
