I do not have enough experience with CentOS to know if the upgrade issue is a trend or an anomaly. - BV: I've got the PC back to the user having gotten through all the upgrades except those involving OpenOffice. Will try Vince's apt suggestion when time allows. - Don't let it rock your faith, Blake. You are making a wise and patient upgrade from your RedHat box. We may want to share a Novell Linux disk with you for further R&D. - BV: The conversion to RH came at a most opportune time. Except for some hardware issues at the start, the server has been purring along beautifully.
