And maybe, just maybe, we can get Colin Watson to bear the brunt of the work???????????
I tried to hammer this home here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/930447/comments/50 So maybe my harping along with a request from the Xubuntu devs got things rolling. I think Colin does know that 90% of my suggestions/requests are at least somewhat sound. Sadly the other 10% are generally insane ;^( Due to visual limitations I've never mastered IRC chat but maybe you could ask Colin, or the installer-team in general, and get an opinion. My point to keep pae by default was because nobody else done the same. I didn't want to maintain this exception only for us, and to give work to people only for this. Since Xubuntu switch to non-pae by default, and the change to do it for us is very small, I am starting to think that we should do the same. Or, I can't see any point to not switch to non-pae by default. I personally think it makes sense since one of our target markets is low resource hardware.
