so silverarrow and i are having a problem with sound. we have much different machines, so this may be a universal issue. at least one x86 reporter says they don't have the problem, so it may be universal only to ppc machines. anyways, everyone please check out the bug [1] and relay your results. the issue we are having is that the os doesn't even detect the card, which means that this is an issue beyond the scope of alsa or modules.
