I sort of got my wires crossed regarding release-upgrader bugs yesterday, but oh well ;^/
The bug I really meant to be following up on was: https://bugs.launchpad.net/lxadmin/+bug/966451 What I know so far is that this effects both Lubuntu and Xubuntu at least as far back as Oneiric. Now, I'm not sure, and I'm not good at editing bug reports anyway, but I imagine that should show it effects Lubuntu, Xubuntu, and ubuntu-release-upgrader-gtk. Or maybe ubuntu-release-upgrader-core? I'm in over my head on stuff like this but I'd think the release-upgrader should check to see if xscreensaver (and possibly xlockmore) are installed, and if so disable them at the beginning of the upgrade process. Maybe someone who's handy with IRC chat could contact Brian Murray and ask his advice???
