et al: Did one install of lxde and it turned out to be "precise" . . . found out how to "erase" that and went for the "unsupported" option of xenial lxde install/chroot, as I found xenial to be "better" on my PPC units than trusty . . . . That does provide a very basic "open-box-y" like lxde desktop . . . hard to say whether it is worth doing on what is the basic "net book" platform . . . which Chromium OS does fairly well . . . but, I'll play with it.
