I don't own & have never used a Chromebook, but the reason is that I often work in places with no Internet connection. Indeed having no Internet is a lot better for my productivity. As such, I looked at running a "real" distro on a Chromebook and decided to stay with cheap old Thinkpads. Solid, reliable, 100% standalone. Currently I use an X200 I bought for GBP £125 in 2014. I am considering an X201 as they are down to about the same price now. Ubuntu works flawlessly -- even the fingerprint reader. -- Liam Proven • Profile: http://lproven.livejournal.com/profile Email: [email protected] • GMail/Twitter/Facebook/Flickr: lproven Skype/MSN: [email protected] • LinkedIn/AIM/Yahoo: liamproven Cell/Mobiles: +44 7939-087884 (UK) • +420 702 829 053 (ČR) -- Lubuntu-users mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/lubuntu-users
