Cristian, estimo que no es problema de alimentacion porque lo hago andar en la instacion de windows vista y "funciona" bien. Además sobre linux, instalé una maquina virtual, conecté el USB, lo detecto la maquina virtual, se conectó, prenió las luces pero no descarga nada. Eso me hace pensar que electricidad no es el problema. Es una cuestion de puertos o pppd o wmdial o algo por el estilo, los garcas de Personal me lo vendieron diciendo que el Sony Ericcson era el modem compatible con linux, pero hasta el momento no he logrado hacerlo funcionar. De todas formas gracias por la respuesta.
