If it's not hardware related, it must be a design feature in the new
releases of the SuSE Linux OS. One of those other things we can't explain,
but know happen. I guess it just needs to boot right up to the end.

Alternatively, you could reconfigure so you boot into CLI mode, if you want
to use traditional command interface. The same property would suffice for an
initial installation.

"Never rush a Mirinda" :)

Talking about Sodas , does anyone know the PH of a Coca Cola ? Someone told
me a coke can dissolve a tooth. (This was just an after-thought)

Guys

am running Suse Linux 8.0 on my desktop. It boots to X always. However I
was trying to go to the commandline immediately after logging into X (as
X was loading its various things) and guess what happened ? X logged me
out again. I relogged in with the correct settings again and just be4 it
completed its normal loading procedure, tried the Ctrl+Alt+F2
combination, for a moment I saw my beloved command line but then the X
login window came back requesting me to login.

Could any1 know y X depicts that kinda behaviour ?

PS: However when I wait for X to fully load, I go to the commandline
very comfortably.

Tx
