Certification is the way to go. I can assure you that over time, even
Linux professionals are being asked for "papers".

I personally would recommend distro neutral certifications like the LPI
cert (www.lpi.org). Linux+ is a decoy. The truth of the matter is that the
institution administering it is headed by some one who is openly anti OSS.
I had the opportunity of taking him on at a debate during the WSIS summit
in Geneva and you could clearly see that he is a wolf in a sheep's skin.
This has made many OSS enthusiasts remain suspicious about the Linux+
agenda.

In my view though, Linux certifications DO NOT COUNT !!! However in a
world corrupted by the long traditional need for "papers" there is no
choice but to partake of the certification.
