Kiggs, Your method will not work on NTFS system (NT, 2k, XP). This is what I did to claen it off a WinNT and Win2k system
- made boot floppy from clean win98 - write protected and booted infected machine off good floppy - did a fdisk /mbr at A: prompt (warning: Don't do this on a Dual boot windows - linux pc for obvious reasons) - restarted machine, see windoze splash screen, .... I haven't tried it on a dual boot windows (like 2k and XP).
