Kenneth,

Man the virus attacked my laptop and I didn't know. You know have windows & linux running, so every time I went to Win2000 in a few minutes I lose network connection and when get to linux and change port the machine works fine. It was until a friend told me that at ICTP in Italy the network administrator had configured the network such that it automatically disconnects any machine with suchvirus. You know what happens is that any computer with this kind of virus tries to ping other machines such that it can affect them. If your using XP check this folder \Windows\System32\wins\, or Win2000 \WINNT\System32\wins for such files DLL****** .... (stars means other characters).

I had to download welchia removal tool from Symantec Norton Anti-Virus website.. .... alternatively you can get one from
