My only problem with SuSE was moving from 9.1 to 9.2. The 
kernel was very very slow, but after running YoU, all 
was well.

You need to recall performance will vary whether it's 
being run as a server or desktop. SuSE has been 
consistent for me since 6.3 in server mode, but as a 
desktop, I've noticed improvements and declines here and 
there - but nothing worth defecting from.
