Hmmh, I clearly recall the POP3 server at the time, this 
was 2002, was kernel 2.0. I know because we also had a 
Cobalt box at my first employer running the kernel 
version.

At the time, 2.4 kernel was barely a few months from 
release; unless they upgraded.
