Err.. what does he mean by the stylesheets collapse? AFAIK Apache (or any 
other webserver) should not even try to interprete .css files (or css tags in 
an html file for that matter) and should just deliver them just like html 
files. Unless I am missing something or am terribly mistaken shouldn't it be 
up to the browser to figure out how to display them?

When he installs this debian, does he try to view the site off the same 
machine (i.e he's playing with his desktop/laptop) or has he tried pointing 
different browsers to the installed box?
