I'm worried that we are loosing the little proffesionalism that had been
acquired by our regulator. A Public forum which was annouced by the
regulator gets postponed and in this modern world of communications mailing
lists etc they forget to tell the public and stakeholders.

Now I wonder who was told that the new date is the 7th of july.

In UCC's book I wonder who is refered to as "Public".

We as ugandans have a habbit of laying down and taking whatever is dished
out by those in particular positions with disregard to consiqueces. In that
regard UCC personnel are all out of the country at meetings and thus do not
have time to do the primary job objective which is to regulate our market,
attend a public forum they annouced or even have the curtousy to tell us it
has been postponed. "U" in UCC stands for Uganda can those in power please
remind our regulators of their jobs.

We sat back over the last few years and accepted wrongs done by other
players, through that our businesses have suffered and we have seen our
investments go down meanwhile the country is suffering while the regulators
are globe trotting collecting air miles.

If I seem angry in this email that is an understatement. I love this
industry and believe in it, however it seems that those the government gave
custody of it have different private agendas which are not in sync with
their mandate. Enough is enough on behalf of the Uganda internet service
providers association I now ask the new Minister in charge to step in now.
We cannot go on like this. As it is our businesses are already suffering
from the power issues lets not add another handicap that could be avoided.

And for reasons like these is why I always ask you all the stakeholders to
get involved, and not be content with being agreived bystanders.

regards
