Hi

Then i guess it could be the init script that is misbehaving, quick
work about is assign the ip address and the gateway via the
/etc/rc.local script, but that is not the ideal solution as when you
run /etc/init.d/network restart will not bring up the interface.

Is anyone else running 10.1 experiencing similar issues ? on the lists
or google, may be a bug fix could be out.

But very puzzling...

Funny thing is that the entries are there in the respective interface
files. Puzzling isnt it?
