Ahmed, If on linux try to first of all ensure that U have set the default gateway.(only one) This should preferably be the link to the ISP(Internet Link). Yes I know it seems simple enough, but is usually forgotten. Make sure U check and / or set the connection details U'r self. The command "ifconfig (ipaddress) ..." may give U some sort of success (or confusion) but only saves the data as a running conf. On restart, however the stored values are picked up. This means the U need to STUDY U'R LOGS and system files (/etc/sysconfig/network, /etc/sysconfig/networking/devices/), as linux is basically an interesting maze of text files. Try to man ifconfig route netstat and related commands to ensure connectivity. Always keep ping at U'r finger tips. You may have to add routes to your routing table to
route specific traffic through a particular NIC.
I'm not too sure if this would work on Linux coz i've come across this on a Win2k system.
