Cisco have an implementation that hasn't yet been officially announced. It is said it will be supported mainly on their higher end platforms. Support for lower end gear will depend on customer demand. Juniper and Redback have officially announced an implementation. Quagga have plans for an implementation. This is taken from a presentation made at the RIPE-53 meeting in October, this year. Find the link here: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/meetings/ripe-53/presentations/32bit_asn.pdf There will also be extensions made to the BGP protocol. Cisco have some information on this here: http://www.cisco.com/web/about/ac123/ac147/archived_issues/ipj_9-1/autonomous_system_numbers.html Cheers, Mark.
