All, I have the solution for Ubuntu 6.10. Just got it working on my desk for the last 4 hours without a hitch.
I'm busy writing a doc on how to get the cdma to work under Linux. Mean time look at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=258709 check my quick post (nick gippie) You need to have /dev/ttyUSB0 up to use my contribution!
