I think it is, to some extent, safe to say this list has 
transformed into a sort of NOG (Network Operators Group).

I could be wrong.

One would submit that perhaps setting up a proper NOG list 
would be the ideal way to go, but with the momentum the LUG 
has gained over the years, I think it would be more 
difficult to replicate the same amount of energy on another 
list (especially as it's the same folk, anyway).

Again, I could be wrong.
