CompTIA is currently seeking Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assist in the redevelopment of CompTIA Linux+ through participation in a CompTIA Linux+ Item (Question) Writing Workshop. Assistance from SMEs is crucial in developing high quality, current and relevant content for the certifications used by employers, consumers, IT and vertical industries as a valued benchmark. An important note: The audience for the revised CompTIA Linux+ exam has changed to align with today’s Linux market. The target audience for the new CompTIA Linux+ exam is experienced Windows or Unix administrators who also have at least six to twelve months as a Linux system administrator. Your participation will ensure that the CompTIA Linux+ credential remains the standard for validation of foundation-level Linux skills. More information about the workshop and a complete listing of SME requirements can be found here. Applications for the item writing workshop can be submitted here. Qualified applicants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. For questions regarding the application, contact Felicia Apprey. Although CompTIA appreciates interest from the training community, applications from trainers, authors or individuals who may profit or materially benefit from knowledge of the CompTIA Linux+ certification content are not eligible to participate as SMEs.
