Hi,

Below is an announcement from 2 gentlemen working at Unicef who are organising
a Mobile Barcamp. You shouldnt miss this if you do anything with a mobile.

If you want to read about what these guys are doing, check out their
unofficial website: http://www.mepemepe.com/ there is a bunch of projects in
the technology section that will give you an idea.

Off course, if you have an app that you would like to show (a non-commercial
mobile application that we can learn from), feel free to contact Merrick or
myself, and we'll fit you in the program.

Now, over to the official invitation.

rgds,
reinier

Hello,

We set up a Mini Mobile Barcamp Kampala for next Thursday the 23rd of October
at Makerere University from 2 to 5pm.  The focus will be on any sort of
mobile phone or multi-modal innovations.

Mark and I representing UNICEF will be talking about and demonstrating two
things, our RapidSMS system and our new suite of 'mobile hacking tools'.

Could everyone get the word out: blog, call, email, sms, tweet, post, or talk
to people you know about this.  It is sort of short notice but seems like it
could be productive.

This is a pre-announcement, I will probably write up something more
substantial and maybe even try my hand at a small logo tomorrow afternoon. I
will also create the formal barcamp pages on the barcamp wiki.

Also if anyone has any advice or thoughts please let me know.
