Sections of the media are criticizing the obama mania. I think anyone
doing so might need a reality check or he/she is suffering from
inferiority complex. Well everyone has preferences and tastes.
Sometime back Congolese musicians were making a killing with record
turnouts, right now they would be lucky to attract ten people. The
local musicians have upped their game. Lesson: - Consumers like good
products, plain simple. For me, what mesmerized me about the Obama
campaign was his ingenuity in using ICTs to attract voters and much
needed campaign funds. So people dismissing the obama mania, as a
diseases afflicting poor Africans might be shocked to find out that
more wild parties were held in advanced economies like Australia.
Nelson Mandela's win to the SA presidency could have attracted more
excitement.
