You are right, none is innocent or very few are. The first time I bought a pc from the Indian shops off K'la rd, even the windows os must have been pirated since i did not get an license or cd.
I have gradually moved from pirated software, through shareware and now ticking with FOSS and enjoying it. At this point there is no task I can not do with FOSS for personal or business needs except of course when a client is windows based - then .... the fight to stay clean resumes. # ocira On Wed, Nov 12, 2008 at 2:50 PM, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hahahahaha …. > > > > The preacher said by show of hands who has never used any pirated software > and is a member of LUG? > > > > Nice one …. > > > > *From:* [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] *On > Behalf Of *Mike Barnard > *Sent:* Wednesday, November 12, 2008 2:43 PM > *To:* Linux Users Group Uganda > *Subject:* Re: [LUG] Desktop Linux - Will it ever stick? > > > > > > On Wed, Nov 12, 2008 at 1:22 PM, Patons <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > And to avoid breaking the law, we stick with FOSS :) > > > right on Patrick... but you would be amazed at the level of pirated > products in .UG > > Almost all the products used in offices is pirated, from Office 2007 to > most insignificant program you can think of. > > > > > -- > Mike > > Of course, you might discount this possibility, but remember that one in > a million chances happen 99% of the time. > ------------------------------------------------------------ > > _______________________________________________ > LUG mailing list > [email protected] > http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug > %LUG is generously hosted by INFOCOM http://www.infocom.co.ug/ > > The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including > attachments if any).
