You mean: setting the incoming port in the skype settings to 80?
However the most important part is pop-ing my email in from the google
servers. I have to use the 995 and 25/465/587 ports.

Hi,
I cannot get my SysAdmin to solve the problem that we cannot pop our
emails and use skype (he also did not install the server). In line
with the previous line of discussion - I am a PhD holder and have
therefore limited operational knowledge of System Administration
(never hire a PhD holder if you like to get the handson work
done ;-)).
We are running FreeBSD 7.0 - terminal - no gui installed.
- we can browse internet
- i get rss feeds in my mail client
- you see my presence on skype, but cannot start a chat/talk session
I have admin rights to the machine.
Any directions to get this fixed?
Thx
V
