Thanks again. I just ran a succeful coffeemachine test with the RS1500. 
Running perfectly for 6.5 minutes. With no sizzling noise.

The server is new enough so I kinda trust the power units.

I will check the earthing, and an extra battery pack will soon be on the way.

I think i can configure all options that the APC UPS has. I am not sure what 
the option is that will make the UPS "Cycle Power" (i guess mostly due to me 
not being a native english technical speaker)
