These instructions also work for MTN's dongle, although you have to replace the APN with theirs (of course) ;-)
I know have a UTL dongle which uses their 3G (!) network (same unlocked Huawei e220, different SIM). However, Ubuntu will not connect, and I have not found where in Network manager GUI to select network type, e,g. GRPS or 3G. Does anyone know where to set this?
