Didn't MTN "share" this little bit of unimportant news with
their customers before swinging to the new username(s)?
Errr... if I am not wrong... this changed years back... and MTN did
make the announcement.... It happened the same time that all numbers
changed from 077 xxx xxx to 077 xxx xxxx.

Of course, you might discount this possibility, but remember that one in
a million chances happen 99% of the time.

Mark,
as you would expect from "THE BETTER"
not
"THE BEST"
connection
NO!
I guess having a bunch of blind men to compare yourself with makes a one
eyed man seem perfectly sighted.
Mike,
I have been operating with these username and password settings (they
weren't changed for two of my CDMA terminals when all numbers got the
extra 2)
since late 2004 when I bought this modem (when they first hit the market).
I did register two mobile numbers as "administrative contacts" for the
them but couldn't even get an SMS from them about it.
I believe it's simply "AN OVERSIGHT" as usually happens with most
companies here,
