Hi,

managed to play around with open ERP over the last 6 months enough to get comfortable with it on vista (home edition),

but now that I'd like to test it with multiple clients connecting to it on debian as the server.

I'm stumped by the error messages, for the moment

when I run it using
"sudo -i -u postgres openerp-server"

I get

[2009-12-14 12:39:09,554] INFO:server:version - 5.0.6
[2009-12-14 12:39:09,555] INFO:server:addons_path - /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/openerp-server/addons

Which is good according to the manual as now all I need to do is connect to it

This being a new install, I need to create a new database.
However, on attempting to create a database from the client on the server machine itself, the terminal above changes to

Now googling shows me that LSB errors have to do with kernel information being wrong or missing and I know my kernel is a custom one that I rolled specifically to include a module for a CDMA modem.

The question is there a module/driver I need to have included for

1 LSB
2 OpenERP
3 Postgresql
4. ALL/SOME of the above

OR

5. Is the naming of my custom kernel "Linux-2.6.27.38linux-2.6.27.38.khz.1-686" what could be confusing the software?

or could this be a bug with the Opern ERP software itself?

any suggestions would be much appreciated,

Benjamin M Wakhweya
