Ah, did not know that, thanks for the link. I used to labor with this and make my own map 8 years ago before T4a came along using some of the tools mentioned. Hours went into that so go ahead and make your own map or simply send your gpx tracks to T4a and receive their current Beta map (free) with routing for the whole of Africa. As long as you send in more tracks you will receive newer accurate maps in time.
OSM is nice for the web and presentation I think.
