Hi,

We solved the issue with a very simple trick that Kyle came up with.

Apparently, the port on the inveneo had difficulties recognizing the type of 
ethernet cable that was plugged into it.

So, we took a 10USD switch and plugged the cable into that, and used a common 
ethernet cable to connect that switch to the inveneo.

All is hunkydory again.
