I guess because the advantage of packaged systems is that they just work out 
of the box (the way they work)

And the disadvantage is that the lazy user has no clue how they do it.

I run spamasassin on 6 boxes and have never used that command. Yet, my 
spamfiltering is rather satisfactory.

(and i knew about the 2010 rule because it was on /.)
