Hi Roy,

I suggest you install wvdial. Once installed you run wvdialconf from
your command line to start off the modem identification and
configuration, then you open /etc/wvdial.conf and input your settings.
This has worked for me on SuSE, ubuntu, Centos and Debian. I have
confidence in it.
