"I heard it through the grapevine" that some members are under the belief
that I have an personal gain/ motive in pushing for the change in the
management of our national cctld.

First and foremost I'm flattered to think that some people believe that
simple me has the ability to push UCC to draft a policy so that I can have a
personal gain J.

I love the IT industry but I'm also a business person and to be honest the
numbers do not add up for me to want to take over the management of this
entity. So for those of you who first and foremost give me that level of
respect that I can influence UCC to that level, I'm sorry to disappoint you.
Apart from my views that I share openly here and on i-network, I had no
input on the document published by UCC and I do believe they have the
competency to draft such a document.

This is in a public fora so please bring these issues out, I have a thick
skin so do not worry about hurting my feelings.

Lets discuss this issue for the benefit of all without taking a final
position. If we all come to the discussion with final position the one
with the strongest arm will always win. Lets learn to embrace change.
Taking an unsustainable dogmatic position as some on the list have done over
the years takes us no where but to a position of conflict where we might
end up with a forced outcome.

My position for the record is for an outcome where we have a top level
structure that represents the interests of all stakeholders. The technical
level and operations may or may not change much but the accountability
changes to this representative body. The detail is for others to work out.

regards
