Hi everyone, This month the Uganda Linux User Group will host four events in three cities.
This Friday, events will be held in Mbarara, Jinja, and Kampala. Aside from the usual geekery, these events will include hands-on Python training sessions taught by local Python developers from the LUG community. If you are a programmer or think you might like to be a programmer, these events are for you. Then, on Friday, July 23rd, the Uganda Linux User Group will be joining forces with Google in order to bring you Python, AppEngine, free beer, and pizza! This event is for beginner and intermediate level developers who would like to learn how to create web applications in Google AppEngine using the Python programming language. Free beer and pizza will be served at Google's Kampala offices following the event, though be aware that you must attend the main event in order to be eligible for the after-party. As usual, free copies of free software will be available at all four events. Thanks go out to the hosts of this months events: Jet Internet Cafe/S7 School, Hackers for Charity, the Mbarara University of Science and Technology, and Makerere University.
