Roy,

The Orange modem (ET160e) is supported natively by the kernel version on the
SUSE 11.2.

So when you plug it in, it should install without any trouble, Only thing
required is configuration - check dmesg for the details and/or also do a ls
/dev/ttyUSB* to find
where the device has been mounted.

This is what my /etc/wvdial.conf file looks like for the Orange section

[Dialer Defaults]

Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0

Baud = 115200

SetVolume = 0

Dial Command = ATDT

Init1 = ATZ

FlowControl = Hardware (CRTSCTS)

Phone = *99#

Stupid Mode = 1

#Inherits = Defaults

Username = idea

Dial Command = ATDT

Password = idea

Add nameservers - for Orange

nameserver 41.202.229.144

nameserver 41.202.229.140

And this should get you on the net "wvdial"

PS: When you talk about problem, you need to explain in detail and only after
following the above steps
