Joachim, Where is the list, a text file, database, excel spreadsheet, CSV file?

I have a list with 320 names each assigned a number randomly between 1-320(done). From this list of 320 names, I am to pick out 20 names with no repetition and assign them to each of the 320 names(done). Is there a way (apart from literally typing them) to assign the randomly generated numbers to the appropriate name now that I have a list with 6400 (320 x 20) names? This is not a one time thing, I will have to do this every 2-3 months. Any pointers? What do the database and script writers have on this? regards Joachim _______________________________________________ LUG mailing list [email protected] http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug LUG is generously hosted by INFOCOM http://www.infocom.co.ug/ All Archives can be found at http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including attachments if any).
