Reinier,
This is the official support, seems companies like Pythian, SkySQL etc are also throwing parties since they provide alternative paid MySQL support. Most of the MySQLers have left Oracle and started companies within the same capacities that they had. Kudos to open source, what Oracle is forcing the platform providers to up their game, which is good for the product, although the surrounding FUD does not help. (after 30 programmers left openoffice earlier this week.) I guess some people at http://mariadb.org/ are going to throw a party today. -- rgds, Reinier Battenberg Director Mountbatten Ltd. +256 758 801 749 www.mountbatten.net On Thursday 04 November 2010 13:51:40 Victor van R wrote: > Larry needs some additional equipment for his sailing boat. > > On 4-11-2010 12:22, Patrick Okui wrote: > > Well, it came sooner than I expected. $2k for InnoDB. > > > > http://www.mysql.com/products/ > > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > > LUG mailing list > > [email protected] > > http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug > > > > LUG is generously hosted by INFOCOM http://www.infocom.co.ug/ > > > > All Archives can be found at http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ > > > > The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them > > (including attachments if any).
