My bad misread thought classic was replacing community. Seems like a lot of old guard MySQL guys are going to start offering support as well so I guess it might be no change.

I can't see any real change here. It seems to me fair that if you use innodb in a proprietary application then you should pay. If you use innodb in a GPL'd application then you don't.
