Stephen,. first of the all the issue of local hosting, versus foreign, i go for foreign, because of downtime and etc
as far as the list , i think the current system is working fine, but it might have been designed using old techniques, which need an over haul. so yes, the list should remain hosted locally. I dont think the current gaffes, are as large or difficult to solve as it seems on the surface. would i host locally, not soon, but there is a way local hosting can make it. i have prepared a paper on how local hosting can be a major bread winner, both for local companies and stimulating the local software industry, and yes create economic development 'some people cant see valley dams even when they are standing on them' - Former VP Spe after being tasked on the existence of valley dams, after her ministry had wasted millions of tax payer funds (read eaten)
